Vermont Pear & Peony Farm

Vermont Pear & Peony Farm is a 20-acre pollinator habitat with roots deeply planted in St. Albans, VT. The farm features a heritage orchard of pear and apple dating to the late 1700’s. Historical records document the property as beginning at a point “in the garden of the widowers dower”… a dower being a portion of land/estate left to a widow to provide for herself.

Founder, Amy Raymond, has worked for several years to acquire most of the original fruit garden, which now spans several parcels. As a veteran horticulturalist and artist, she has been designing and growing for the cut flower market for over 15 years. She is proud to be one of two seasonal designers at Shelburne Farms, and accepts no more than 5 weddings a year to design.
